In a keenly contested encounter, Victor Shriyan cashed in on a clear opening to find the back of the Koppana net to give Brilliance SA a crucial ninth minute lead.

Thereafter, Brilliance SA combined well at the back and their defenders did well to thwart all the attempts from the Koppana attackers who tried their best to hit the target and get an equalizing goal. But, all the Koppana efforts went in vain and they had to finish on the losing side.

Later, in another match of the same division, Ruffians FC got the better of The Sports Gurukul by an identical 1-0 margin. After a barren first session, Ruffians managed to break the deadlock when striker Shahbaz Suved did well to score the decisive winning goal in the 11th minute of the second half to help his team clinch a narrow win and pocket the full three points.
