DFA (D’Souza Football Academy) were well organized and romped to a comfortable 4-0 win against India Rush SC in a Boy’s Under-15 Yuva President League match of the Mumbai Football Association (MFA) and played at the Neville D’Souza turf, Bandra on Saturday.
The DFA outfit showed good coordination and outplayed India Rush by scoring four times through the efforts of Rutvick Chavan, Max Lakri, Zayne D’Souza and Shlok Jagtap to complete the winning tally and collect the full three points.
In a match of the same category, Youth Soccer Academy got the better of The Soccer Academy-MSP by a narrow 1-0 margin. Striker Mohd Idris netted the all-important winning goal to seal the win.
Earlier, in a Boys Under-13 match, Mumbai City FC proved too strong for Lemon Break FC and charged to a convincing 9-0 win. The heroes of Mumbai City’s victory were Jess Bhobe, Asif Sheikh and Hamza Haider, all scoring a brace of goals each, while Mayank Thapa, Shaurya Koli and Ayaan Maniar, all contributed with one strike each to complete the margin of victory.
