Off-spinner Priyadarshini Singh picked 5 wickets for 19 runs which helped Team-B defeated Team-C by 39 runs in a second round match of the first MCA Girls’ under-15 cricket tournament organised by Jolly Gymkhana under the aegis of Mumbai Cricket Association and played at the Jolly Gymkhana ground, Ghatkopar.
Batting first, Team-D rode on the middle order batting performance from Mitali Goekar 41 runs and Thia Ganatkar 35 runs to pile up a total of 187 all out in 39.4 overs. Team-C leg spinner Shreeni Soni took 3 wickets for 18 runs.
Defending a modest total, Priyadarshni did the star turn for Team-D and dismissed Team-C for a paltry 148 all out in 36 overs. Shreeni Soni 29 runs and Deepali Karlekar 20 runs were the only batters to get some runs on the board.
