Goregaon Centre powered by Ayush Makwana exact century knock 100 runs (141-balls, 17x4s) and half centuries from middle-order batsmen, Tanish Shetty 72 runs (87-balls, 9x4s) and Aryan Pawar 72 (85-balls, 13x4s) are placed in a commanding position having reached a massive 359 runs for 6 wickets in 85.5 overs against Mahul Centre on the opening day of their 2-day semi-final match of the 25th Ajit Naik Memorial Under-14 selection trials cricket tournament 2022, organised by WSC under the aegis of the Mumbai Cricket Association and played at the New Hind ground, Matunga.
Electing to bat, the Goregaon openers Ram Shandilaya 33 runs and Ayush, who was aggressive from the start put together 101 runs for the first wicket to lay the foundation for their big innings. Later, number 4 bat Tanish and number 5 bat Aryan continued to score runs briskly and they were associated in a 136-run partnership for the fourth wicket which gave their team the upper hand. Arjun Lotlikar made a useful contribution of 35 runs.
