Skipper Sahil Jadhav mixed caution with aggression to hit up an unbeaten 78 to steer MCC (Black) to five-wicket win over defending champions in the semifinal of the 6-team MCC Double-Leg Pro-40 league, played at Oval Maidan here today.
Batting first, MCC ‘Red’ did well to challenging score of 197 before they were all out. However, ‘Black” after losimg top four with 102 on board, saw Sahil adding 96 runs for the fifth wicket with Shashank Yadav (34 n.o.) before ‘Black’ were home with five wickets to spare. The ‘Black’ will take on the winner of the other semifinal between MCC ‘Yellow’ and MCC ‘Green’ (to be played tomorrow) for the coveted Pro-40 league title.
