After being deprived of swimming activities for over two years due to Covid-19, Otters Club will be first Club to host their two-day 35th Otters Open Swim Gala at their swimming pool at Bandra (West) on Saturday (April 30) and Sunday (May 1). Top National and state swimmers from city and suburbs clubs and gymkhanas are likely to figure in this two-day competition. The Gala is open to men, women and boys and girls in various age groups.
Being the first swimming event after two years, some national and state champions will be eagerly looking forward to this Mumbai’s one of the most glamorous event. Otter Clubs have produced number of top class swimmers, who have brought laurels to the state at the national level over the years.
In 2019 before the closure of sports activities, swimmers from 24 premier clubs and gymkhana along with the hosts swimmers had won 51 gold, 38 silver and 21 bronze medals. The hosts swimmers had also excelled at the national competitions, bringing home 16 medals.
