MCA Under-19 Cricket Tournament 2021-22
A hurricane batting performance from Abhigyan Kundu who smashed an unbeaten 130-ball 185 runs (30x4s, 1x6s) and the impressive bowling display from Anirudh Ghag (5 for 35 runs) and Yash Kripal (4 for 21 runs) were the highlights of D.Y. Patil SA’s 138-run victory against hosts and sponsors outfit Mangrol Sports Club in an opening Group-H match of the MCA Under-19 Cricket Tournament 2021-22, organized by Mangrol Sports Club in association with Pulse Sports Events Entertainment and played at the Western Railway ground, Mahalaxmi.
Sent in to bat, D.Y. Patil dominated the Mangrol bowlers and amassed a tall score of 343 for 4 wickets in 40 overs. Ved Kotawadekar 52 runs and Bhaiyakumar Shreyas 31 runs made good contributions to swell the total.
Mangrol SC found the target too stiff to achieve and could only manage to score 205 all out, in 35 overs. Half century efforts from Tejas Chauhan 76 runs and Rishi Bhosle 53 runs kept Mangrol’s hopes alive but, D.Y. Patil bowlers Ghag and Kripal got crucial wickets to seal their win.

Result: New Hind won by 46 runs.
Shivaji Park Gymkhana: 150 all out, 34.4 overs (Nilay Pawar 42, Parth Naik 32; Kozim Syed 4/29, Soumil Mhatre 2/38) lost to Sind Sports Club: 154 for 7 wickets, 36 overs (Kuldeep Vishwakarma 44, Rugved Jadhav 33*; Likhit Kadam 3/16, Pallav Dandekar 3/39). Result: Sind Sports Club won by 3 wickets.

Parkophene CC 154 all out, 39.1 overs (Veant Gaggar 35; Yash Kadam 3/27, Poojan Raut 3/30) lost to Mazgaon Cricket Club: 155 for 6 in 30 overs (Nestor Noronha 37; Abhiyanshu Jha 3/43). Result: Mazgaon CC won by 4 wickets.
