20-year-old Simran Singhi of Maharashtra has attained the No. 1
position in Senior Women’s Doubles as per the newly updated All India
ranking by Badminton Association of India.

“It is my desire to represent India in the 2024 Paris Olympics but to do
that my partner and I have to improve our world ranking considerably.
It was disappointing to not get selected for the Government’s TOPS
development scheme, despite being Junior National Champions, but we
are looking forward to corporates sponsoring us in our endeavour to make
India proud.” the newly crowned numero uno said.
