Tanish Shetty put up stirring allround display as Bhosale Cricket Academy beat Naikar’s Cricket Academy by five-wicket in the 40-overs MCC Talent Search under-14 cricket league tie, co-hosted by Jwala Sports Foundation, held at Air India Sport Cub ground at Kalina (Santacruz) here today. After Tanish had three Naikar CA’s wickets, he single-handed took his team home with a fight knock of 90 with 12 fours.

Opting to bat first, Naikar’s boys did well to score 156 for nine off the allotted 40 overs. Advik Dubey top-scored with 44, while Tanish (3/15) and Sanchit Kadam (3/29) shared the bowling honours. But Bhosale CA boys, in reply fared poorly as they lost four wickets 52 before the Bhosale boys rallied through Tanish and Kshitj Pal as the pair took the score to 142 before Kshitj fell. But then Tanish shielding Vijay Toprani took them home without any further hiccups.
Earlier, Sanjeevani CA defeated Real CA by 3 wickets in their opening league encounter. Real CA, batting first did well to hit up 191 for nine with opener Lokesh Mistry top-scoring with well-made 68. Chasing 192 for win, Sanjeevan boys did well to achieve their target with three wickets in hand.
