Hosts Mumbai Cricket Club ‘A’ scored a nail-biting 2-run win over their MCC ‘B’ in the MCC Under-19 Super League Cricket League tie, played at Oval Maidan, here today. The other two teams to make the Super League are: Navroz CC and Mane Cricket Academy.
Opting to bat first, MCC ‘A’ were restricted to 157 before they were all out in 34.4 overs. Hiral Panchal top-scored for them with 45. In reply, the hosts juniors tried their best, but fell short by two runs as they were dismissed for 155. Altamesh Khn was the chief destroyer for the seniors as he captured three wickets for just 19 runs in seven overs. Akul Singh hit a fighting 50 for the juniors.
