Prabodhankar Thackeray Kreeda Sankul( PTKS) , Vile Parle, which is managed by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Smarak Samiti has received ISO 90001: 2015 Management System Certificate recently. For the past 21 years PTKS has been promoting different sports in its premises and thousands of children and youngsters have taken advantage of the training facilities offered here. Mr. Arwind Prabhu, the CEO of this sports club has expanded various sports activities here, providing proper facilities to meet international standard.
Proper upkeep of the premises, cleanliness and above all the quality food provided in the canteen, are some of the strong points of this club. The coaching facility is the best in this club, with reputed trainers who are employed by the club on salary basis. The Gymnasium activity encouraged by this club is attended by hundreds of children. Youngsters who are trained here, are doing extremely well in various competitions of different sports . The club also hosts various competitions at the state and national level at their premises, making elaborate arrangements .
Recently, the club also offered their premises for the conduct of Mumbai Schools Sports Association organised by All Mumbai Inter School Table Tennis Tournament. After this meet, the MSSA officer bearers and the parents of the children were all praise for the facilities offered at the venue. The Club has future plans for grooming the children in different sports during next 5 to 7 years, so that they compete in Olympic games.
Speaking about their plan, Mr. Arwind Prabhu was very optimistic about the progress of all these youngsters. He said “ Our focus is on the age group of 6 to 13 years . With the kind of training offered to them along with psychological counselling and diet tips, we are sure that they will shine at national and international level.” When asked about the ISO 9001 certification received by his club, he said, “ Yes, for the past several months extensive audits were going on. They went through quality management system including documented information and responsibilities of management. I am glad that this club has met with all their requirements. “

Celebrity Chef Yashodhan Deshmukh who is also part of PTKS and is actively involved in introducing quality standards in every department including canteen facilities, was also praise for the disciplined administration of the club under the guidance of Mr. Arwind Prabhu . “Once you enter the premises, you need not ask for any help in searching a particular department, as the sign boards will guide you to the department you are looking for.” Samir Bhate who very well manages Table Tennis department has promoted the game of table tennis with full expansion of this activity, to attract young and older players at this venue. He has been helped by Yogesh Desai also a national level TT player, who is still active with the game of Table Tennis. Mr. Desai was instrumental in starting Stag -PTKS TT Coaching academy at this venue. It ws inaugurated by Mr. Rajeev Bodas President of MSTTA.
Besides Table Tennis the club offers Internatiional standard swimming pool and Shooting range. With Gymnastics , Karate , floor skaking and floor exercises also being promoted, there has been good response from children especially in the age group of 5 to 12 years. Th Gymnasium and helath club facility is too good and the club is also equipped with first aid and CPR facility for emergency requirement.
All in all, it has been an excellent team work of all those from PTKS who have really strived hard to make this club the best quality management system today, in the city of Mumbai. Mr. Prakash Tulpule Hon. Secretary of Maharashtra State Table Tennis Association, recently visited this club to specially congratulate Mr. Arwind Prabhu and his team on their getting the ISO 9001 certification. So, we certainly look forward to a big table tennis event at this wonderful venue in near future.
