39th Junior National Kho-Kho Championship
39th Junior National Kho-Kho Championship is being organized by Gujarat Kho-Kho Association with the approval of the Federation of India at the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University Sports Complex, Udhana Mogdula Road, Surat, Gujarat.
In today’s girls match, Maharashtra again proved their dominance by defeating Tripura 36-03 by 33 points. Maharashtra skipper Ashwini Parse defending one minute ten seconds & she has taken five wickets. Rituja Bhor defended 3 minutes and 30 seconds, while Janavi Peth played a crucial role in the victory with 3 minutes and 20 seconds. Sujata of Tripura defended for one minute but Tripura faced a big defeat.
In the boys’ match, Maharashtra defeated Uttarakhand by 18-02 in an innings. Dilip Khandvi played five minutes, thirty seconds and got 4 wickets while Saurabh Ahir played two minutes ten seconds. While Narendra Kattke showed the way home for five players, Aditya Ganpule scored three wickets while defending one minute and twenty seconds, none of the players from Uttarakhand could show a special shine.
In the girls’ match, Kolhapur defeated Madhya Pradesh by a score of 16-06.
In other girls match, Vidarbha defeated Madhya Pradesh by 11 points in a 15-04 innings.
In the boys’ match Kolhapur scored on the West Bengal team by 13-12 with five minutes and fifty seconds.
In another boys’ match, Vidarbha defeated Pondicherry by 22 points to 13 points.
