Karan,Ayush bag individual awards


While Swami Vivekanand (Borivali) dethroned defending champions Rizvi Springfield (Bandra) to bag the B. Khichadia-Khar Gymkhana Under-16 cricket trophy,  Karan Suraiya of IES New English (Bandra) having aggregated 347 runs – the highest in the competition- won the best batsmen’s trophy, and  Ayush  Jethwa of Swami Vivekanand (Borivali) bagged the best allrounder’s trophy ( 340 runs and 14 wickets)  trophy. Raghav Ramchandra ,of Lakshadham (Goregaon). Raghav with  a haul of 15 wickets of 157 runs won the best bowler’s prize .

Lauding the fine performance of these players, Abhishek Nayar hoped they will soon make a mark in the higher grade soon. Abhishek presented them with the trophies, during the prize distribution function at Khar Gymkhana yesterday.

 

Prize winners were (Team ):

 

 Winners: Swami Vivekanand Int. (Borivali). Runners-Up: Rizvi Springfield (Bandra).

 

Best batsman: Karan Suraiya (IES New English (Bandra) – 347 runs.

 

Best all-rounder; Ayush Jetehwa (Swami Vivekanand  Int. -INBorivali)- 340 runs and 14 wkts.

 

 Best Bowler: Raghav Ramchandra (Lakshaadham, Goregaon)- 15 wkts and 157 runs.
