DFA to hold trials for junior football players


 

The Dhanbad Football Academy, a professional academy registered with AIFF, will conduct trials to select boys in the Under-13 and Under-15 age categories. The trials will be conducted on Saturday, June 15 and Sunday, June 16 from 3.30pm to 6.30pm at the Karnatak Sporting Association Ground, Cross Maidan, Churchgate.

 

The selected boys will represent Dhanbad FA in the AIFF Junior I-League, MDFA organized tournaments and other football events conducted by organisers affiliated with competent authorities.

 

The players will immediately commence training and will represent DFA for a period from August 2019 to May 2020 (10 months).

 

Players born on and after 2004 (01-01-2004) will be eligible to attend the under-15 trials and for the under-13 selection the criteria is all those born on and after 2006 (01-01-2006).

 

Shekar Bangera (An AFC Football Coaching Licence holder and Goalkeeper Level–1 Coaching Licence Awardee from AFC, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) will be the Head Coach and coordinator of the academy.

 

All players who are interested in attending the trials must report with documents for proof of age (xerox copy of birth certificate) and their playing kits. They should also bring along 3 passport size photos.

 

Dhanbad FA is an unit of Om Sai Foundation. DFA had their U-15 team play the first round Junior J-League matches at Jamshadpur (Tatanagar), topping the group and qualifying for the quarter final round played at Kalyani Stadium, Kolkata.
