Mumbai Che Raje go down to Diler Delhi


 

Mumbai Che Raje’s late surge could not help them as they lost to Diler Delhi 45-36 in their final match of the Pune leg of the Indo International Premiere Kabaddi League played at Balewadi on Monday.Diler Delhi

 

After a cautious start by both teams, Diler Delhi read the Mumbai Che Raje raiders to take a 5-3 lead with 3 minutes to go for the first half. Mumbai Che Raje managed to intercept Sunil Jaipal twice earlier but Sunil attacked the Mumbai Che Raje raiders in full force scoring 4 raid points and inflicting an all out to help Delhi race to a 12-4 lead in the 1st quarter. Mumbai Che Raje did well to get two tackle points and end the 1st quarter at 13-6.

 

Mumbai Che Raje could not turn their fortunes around in the second quarter as Delhi raced away with the game inflicting another all out and leading the game 21-6 within the first 3 minutes of the 2nd quarter. Mumbai Che Raje could not accelerate managing to only 6 points to end the 2nd quarter at 28-12.

 

Mumbai Che Raje attempted to stage a comeback of sorts taking 6 points in 3 raids to make it 18-30. Mumbai Che Raje kept attacking and scoring but Diller Delhi made a few quick points towards the end to finish the 3rd quarter at 33-22 in favour of Delhi.

 

The final quarter saw no change in fortune for Mumbai Che Raje as Delhi raced to a 45-25 lead claiming their 3rd all out of the tie with 3 minutes on the clock. Mumbai Che Raje scored 5 back to back points to claim their 1st all out. Mumbai Che Raje managed to reduce the deficit considerably but it was too little too late as Mumbai Che Raje lost the game by 9 points at 45-36.
