Bandra Heroes new Mitsui T20 Cricket league champions


Lanky lefthander Yashasvi Jaiswal, India under- 19  opener thrashed the pace and spin attack of Shivaji Park Warriors to lead  Bandra Heroes to facile 9-wicket win  as the Bandra outfit inscribed their name on the coveted Mitsui Shoji T20 League   – 2019 trophy on their maiden appearance in the eight edition of the league.

Put into bat, the Warriors struggled as their top-order batsmen after getting good start fumbled a bit to end with 148 all out in the allotted 20 overs.

 

Their opener Kushsal Davane top-scored with 47. Chasing 149 to win, Yashasvi along with Omkar Jadhav  put on century stand before Omkar going for a big hit, was caught in the deep. Omkar’s well-made 47 contained four fours and two sixes. However,it hardly made any difference, as Yashasvi went about  hammering fours and sixes in his unbeaten 85 to steer his side through.

 

Brief scores of the final: Shivaji Park Warriors  148 all out (Kushal Davane 47 (4×4,1×6),  Siddhant Adatrao 31, Ravindra Jadhav 24; 1×6); Varun Jojode 3/21) lost toBandra Heroes 149/1 (Yashasvi Jaiswal n.o.85 ( 8×4, 4×6), Omkar Jadav 46 (4×4, 2×60).by 9 wkts.MOM-Yashasvi Jaiswal.
