Shivaji Park,Bandra teams set for the Mitsui T20 final


Shivaji Park Warriors and Bandra Heroes, have notched up two wins  apiece and virtually have placed themselves in the trophy round of the  Mitsui Shoji T20 League   – 2019 at Police Gymkhana (Marine Lines) here today. The Warriors  after beating  Thane Marathas yesterday,  defeated Mumbai Police Cityriders by 19 runs for their second win, while Bandra Heroes likewise, who inflicted a 6-wicket win over Police Cityriders on the first day, gave a similar treatment to Thane Marathas today. For both 6he winners, it will be their maiden entry into the final of this league.

Both the winners, however, meet each other in their concluding  tie tomorrow, which will be of academic interest only, while the other tie between the losers Police Cityriders and Thane Marathas will be played more or less for pride.

Mumbai Police Cityriders 165/7 (Prasad Pawar 62, Shreekant Limbole n.o.39; Vijay Gohil 2/29, Ajay Kothari 2/11)   lost to Bandra Heroes 170/4 in 15.5 0vers ( Rudra Dhandey n.o. 65, Nikhil Patil 62; Anirudh Mainkar  3/27 )  by 6 wkts.
