Most people will say a good coach or a good place to get trained… and if you get coaches who have played higest level of cricket and them self are cricket legend then what would you like to learn? Of course skill mental toughness and many more things.
Yes its happening in Mumbai. Three greats of the game ex Srilankan legendry cricketers ChmindaVaas, and Rangana Herath and Ex-India cricketer Wasim Jaffer along with Mumbai Ranji coach Vinayak Samant and Jwala Singh are coaching youngsters At “Centre Of Excellence For Cricket” programme by Jwala Sports Foundation and Mumbai Cricket Club with the backing of of Mitsui Shoji T20 league management..
Under these coaches, around 80 boys are working hard at, Mumbai Police Gymkhana, Khar Gymkhana and also at Oval Maiden for the last a couple of days. This is third of their programme in past two years. Indian Test cricketer Prithvi Shaw and India under 19 opener Yashasvi Jaiswal have been the product of this scheme.
“I am very impressed with these kids they have everything which can help them to achieve their goals just not need to take any shortcuts,” Vaas says about the kids. Whereas, Herath keep this very simple and says “ you need to visualize the match situation during the nets and find your own way for getting the batman out”
It’s about doing the right things to do well when you do right things its goes in right way and if you don’t do right things it’s also goes in same way” says jaffer who is also highest run getter in almost every form of domestic cricket in india.
