HDFC Bank put up a spirited performance to force a goalless draw with fancied Mumbai Customs in a hard-fought Elite Division Group-A play-off match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2018-2019 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra.
Promoted outfit HDFC Bank fought well to match Mumbai Customs who were the clear favourites. Mumbai Customs attackers were kept in check and not given muck liberty by the tight marking HDFC Bank defenders. But when the Customs strikers managed to get an opportunity to have a crack at goal they wasted the chances.
HDFC Bank tried their best to open the scoring but could only manage a few stray attempts at the Customs citadel and with both sides failing to score the game finished in a goalless stalemate and the teams had to be content with the division of two points.
