Karnatak Sporting Association and U. Mumba shared honours as they played out a 1-1 draw in an Elite Division Group-A play-off match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2018-2019 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Thursday evening.
In a keenly contested encounter, Karnatak SA against the run of play snatched the lead when striker Aashish Lalge found the net in the 13th minute. U.Mumba made a strong fight back and struck the equalizer through Daniel Muthu in the second minute of additional period of the first half.
Earlier, Millat FC failed to defend their first lead and were forced to play out 1-1 draw with Sea View SC. Merrick Fernandes scored for Millat in the 38th minute befotre Nehal Shetty scored the equalizer of Sea View in the 56th minute.
Results – Elite Div (play-off): Karnatak Sporting Association 1 (Aashish Lalge 13th) drew with U. Mumba FC 1 (Daniel Muthu 45+2nd).
Millat FC 1 (Merrick Fernandes 38th) drew with Sea View SC 1 (Nehal Shetty 56th).
