Anurag Bagri scores impressive win


 

Seasoned campaigner Anuraj Bagri (-170 handicap) of Elphinstone Cricket Club came up with an impressive performance and without any hassles eased past club mate Sunil Jain (-130) by romping to a 200-106 victory in a Round of 16 match of the BSAM-Maharashtra Challenger Tour (Billiards 2019) organized by the Billiards and Snooker Association of Maharashtra and played at the Bombay Gymkhana’s billiards room.

Anurag played confidently and hit up two substantial efforts of 70 and 62 as he smoothly crossed the finish line and set up a quarter-final meeting with Sidhraj Shah of Cricket Club of India.

 

Sidhraj (-50) also enjoyed an easy outing as he comfortably got past Raj Khandwala (-130) also from CCI by a huge 200-78 points margin.

 

Meanwhile, top ranked Sparsh Pherwani (-225) fured in three breaks of 54, 53 and 42 and went on to sideline beat Dharmesh Mistry (-100) winning by a massive 200-60 points difference.  Second seed Hasan Badami (-190) of CCI also progressed the quarter-final by registering a 200-162 win against Hindu Gymkhana’s Sandeep Teli (-50) in another pre-quarter-final encounter.
