JSF thrash MCC (Blue) by 8 wkts to win the final


 

Thanks  to Arsalan Oberoi’s fine allround performance,  JSF (Jwala Sports Foundation) defeat MCC (Blue) by 8 wickets in the final of the four-team MCC Two-Day League, played at a new venue –Patil Mountain Gymkhana (Badlapur) yesterday.

Arsalan scored 43 as JSF made 206 in their first innings and then captured  3 wickets for 26 as MCC (Blue), trailing by 94 runs in the first innings, did little better in their second knock  to score 168. Needing 74  for outright victory, JSF were home for the loss of just two wickets.

 

 

Brief scores :   MCC (Blue) 112 all out (Altamesh Khan 38; Saffar Qurehi 3/27, Rohit Wagh 2/18, Vedant Patil  2/11) and 168 all out (Nishant Trivedi  44, Pranat Jadhav 36; Arsalan Oberoi 3/26, Saffan Quershi 2/11, Ashray Patil 2/29, Vedant Patil 2/60) lost ti JSF 206 (Ashray  Patil 57, Arham  Jain 49, Arsalan Oberoi 43; Kartikeyan Pal 3/10, Shahid Beg 2/18, Vishan Singh 2/33) and 78/2 (Ayaz Khan 39) by 8 wkts – (Man-of-the-matdch : Arsalan Oberoi).
