Arifa Zaheer’s twin strikes was the highlight of India Rush FC’s hard-fought 2-1 win against Bodyline FC in a keenly contested Women’s quarter-final match of the Bandra Gymkhana Annual Floodlit Rink Football Tournament 2019, organized under the auspices of the MDFA and played under floodlights at the DPRC grounds, Bandra. Jyotika Singh netted Bodyline’s lone goal.
In another quarter-final match, Joga Invincibles blanked Baze FC (Blue) 2-0. Strikers Nikita Rathod and Leah Poonawalla netted a goal each to lift Joga Invincibles to victory and a place in the last four.
In the semi-finals, Joga Invinclibles will clash with Indian Rush and Baze FC (Red) will take on I.C. United, Borivali.

Meanwhile in Men’s Open last 16 round matches, Kalina Rangers SC outclassed St. Paul’s Dadar coasting to a 4-1 victory. For Rangers, Clinton D’Souza notched a brace of goals and Tyson Pereira and Johnson D’Silva struck one apiece. St. Paul’s got their consolation goal through Leo D’Souza’s efforts.
Earlier, Boca Juniors powered by Nigel D’Souza’s doubles strikes overcame Sellebrity FC 2-1. Amy Moeugoue netted Sellebrity’s lone goal.
