In the final, the Arya Vidya Mandir schoolgirls showed good understanding, coordination and all the players rose to the challenge and played their hearts out to sideline the fighting Ascend International School, Bandra Kurla Complex by a clear 2-0 scoreline, at the MSSA Schools S[ports Centre, Azad Maidan.

 

However, the star performer for Arya Vidya Mandir was dashing and energetic striker Anika Shetty who displayed excellent scoring touches and netted both the goals to secure Arya Vidya Mandir’s triumph.

 

Anika was later declared the ‘Best Forward of the tournament’ and her teammate Kaavyaa Gandhi was adjudged as the ‘Best Defender of the tournament’.

 

The victorious Arya Vidya Mandir girls received the ‘Champions’ Trophy and the individual awards and gifts from Chief Guest Lion Prabhakar G. Yogeshwar, Director, ND2 Consultancy Pvt. Ltd, at the prize distribution function. The Ascend International girls were presented with the runner-up trophy and other prizes.
