Karnatak Sports Club played confidently and converted the chances that came their way to comfortably overcome Kanara Bros SC 2-0 in a league match of the 23rd Shri Late Ramanath Payyade Memorial Football Tournament 2018-2019 and played at Karnatak Sports Centre, Cross Maidan.
The Karnatak strikers were sharp upfront and in the very fourth minute prolific scorer Roger Sam capitalised on a defensive lapse to find the net for the opening goal and give his team a slender 1-0 half-time lead.
In the second half Sagar Shetty was on target scoring Karnatak’s second goal to seal their win and secure their qualification to the knockout phase of the tournament.
Karnatak SC alog with Star of Canara SC from Group-B progressed to the next round.
