Sellebrity FC produced a superb fighting performance and struck once in each half to record a deserving 2-1 victory against Sea View FSI in a keenly contested Elite First Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2018-2019 and played at the Mumbai Football Arena on Wednesday.
Starring in aggressive fashion Sellebrity took an eary lead with striker Kurban Shaikh hitting the target in the very fifth minute. Sellebrity managed to hang on to that advantage and went into the break with a 1-0 lead.
Immediately after changing ends, Sea View restored parity when Abhishek Patil founf the back of the net in the 47th minute. Thereafter, Sellebrity pressed hard and Ricky Bagade struck the second goal as Sellebrity regained the lead, which they managed to hold onto till the final whistle and emerge victorious.
In a Second Division play-off encounter, Rudra FC blanked Taruna Mitra Mandal 2-0. Strikers Bhavesh Kurlekar and Abhishek Jadhav were bang on target scoring a goal each to seal Rudra FA’s win.
