Defending champions MCC (Red) defeated Bhosale Cricket Academy by 6 wickets for their fourth win in six outings in the B4S MCC PRO – 40 double-leg 5-Team league played at Oval Maidan here today. The league has reached an intriguing stage with one of the five teams to be eliminated. While “Red” clash with Jwala Sports Foundation next to decide who tops the table.
The other contender MCC (Blue), too, are not far behind. They recorded their third win by beating MCC (Green) by 42 runs to ensure their place in the semifinals.
Kapil Yadav, who hit up league’s first century earlier, was again in fine form as he scored 63 to help MCC (Blue) hit up 195 against MCC (Green), who were bowled out for 153. While Bhosale CA’s 194 was overhauled by MCC (Red) with six wickets in hand. The architect of “Red” win was Dasrath Chavan (90 n.o. ) with Rahul Malivya ( 29 n.o.) playing a supporting role as the pair took them to victory without being separated.
