Twice in arrears Bombay Republicans fought back to force a 2-2 draw with Union Bank of India in a well-contest Super Division match of the MHAL League 2018-2019, and played at the MHAL-Mahindra Stadium, Churchgate on Tuesday.
Union Bank against the run of play took the lead when Anil Rathod from a field effort scored the opening goal in the 21st minute to give his team a 1-0 half-time advantage.
After changing ends, Republicans managed to draw level with Darshan Gawkar finding the net from open play in the 43rd minute, but 10 minutes later, Union Bank regained the lead with Mantosh Devkumar converting from a penalty corner.
Republicans fought on an managed to snatch the equalizer through the hard-working Moses Pullanthara in the 66th minute.
