A determined FC Mumbaikar fought hard and recovered from a first deficit to snatch a 1-1 draw with PIFA (Premier Indian Football Academy) in a tense and interesting ‘Super Six’ match of the WIFA Women’s Football Championship and played at the Cooperage football stadium.
In an evenly contested encounter, PIFA wrested the initiative and took the lead through Muriel Adams snap effort in the 34th minute to enjoy a slender 1-0 half-time cushion.
FC Mumbaikar put a strong fight and scored the equalizer when Mina Begum capitalized on an opening to fire home from close in the 74th minute and help her team split two points with PIFA.
