FC Mumbaikars struck fine form and inspired by the brilliance of Devneta Roy who notched up a fine hat-trick outplayed FC Kolhapur City 4-1 in the Super Six match the WIFA Women’s Championship 2018 at the Cooperage Stadium.
Devneta was in pristine form scoring in the 12th, 40th and 56th minute to stamp her authority in the match. However, FC Mumbaikars went in to the lead as early as the ninth minute through Sayantani, which provided the perfect boost for the Mumbai team who went on to dominate in the entire match.
The Kolhapur side fought well and managed to pull one back through Mithari Pratiksh.
FC Mumbaikars were hunting for this win after been pushed to the corner by Bodyline SC and had suffered a 0-3 loss in the previous game.
Results: FC Mumbaikars 4 (Devneta Roy 3, Sayantani) beat FC Kolhapur City 1 (Mithari Pratiksh).
