Poinsur Gymkhana’s annual suburban inter-school cricket tournament
Captain Ayush Jethwa’s strokeful 94 helped defending champions Swami Vivekanand (Borivali) hitting up 209 and then restricting Oxforf Public to 128 in the final of the Inter-school cricket tournament, of Poinsur Gymkhana’s annual sports fiesta under their Uttar Mumbai Krida Mahotsav, at their ground at Kandivali (West) today.
Batting first , the Borivli school was going great guns with Ayush leading the way in the 40-over final. But a spate of run outs midway halted their progress when from 188 for six, they were all out for 209. Chasing 210 to win, Oxford boys batted timidly and were restricted to 128 for 8 in the allotted overs.
