The Western India Football Association (WIFA) will be conducting the Women’s Football Championship 2018, at the Cooperage Football Stadium, starting from Monday, October 22, 2018.
Ten leading teams, eight from Mumbai District and one each from Pune District and Kolhapur District will be competing for the top honours in this championship. United Pune Soccer Association (UPSA), Pune and FC Kolhapur City are the two outstation teams.
The participating teams have been divided into two groups of five each and will initially play on a round-robin league basis.
FC Kolhapur City will take on Mumbai’s Kenkre FC, in the opening match, on Monday at 8.30am.
The groupings:
Group-A: PIFA, Bombay Gymkhana, FC Mumbaikar, Future Stars, United Pune Soccer Association (UPSA), Pune.
Group-B: Kankre FC, FC Kolhapur City, Football Leaders Academy, Football School of India and Bodyline SC.
