Rishabh Kumar of Bombay Gymkhana comfortably won his final two matches and finished with an all-win record in Group-B and progressed to the pre-quarter-final round of the Bombay Gymkhana Handicap Billiards Tournament 2018 and played at the gymkhana’s billiards room late on Saturday evening.

The home contender Rishabh Kumar (-225) defeated Hindu Gymkhana’s Dhruv Sitwala (-525) 425-221 and then outplayed Railways Murali Krishna (-140 ) 200 -0 in a one-sided encounter. Rishabh with three wins topped the group and was followed by Dhruv Sitwala, who scored two wins and was placed second.
Meanwhile, Elphinstone CC’s Anurag Bagri finished top of Group-G and also qualified for the knockout phase of the competition. In the concluding group match, Bagri (-140) tamed Railways Neeraj Kumar (400) 340–63.
In a Group-H contest, Cricket Club of India’s Hasan Badami (-185) easily defeated Dadar Club’s Carl Serrao (-175) 385- 297 to claim the first position in the group and also progress to the next round.
