Laxman Rawat of Bombay Gymkhana in was in impressive form and in grand fashion claimed the top honours in the ECC All India Open 6-Red Snooker Tournament 2018. The dapper Rawat found the going easy and smoothly sailed past Mohd. Hissain Khan of Railway by a convincing 6-1 margin in the final match of the , and played at the Elphinstone Cricket Club billiards room.

Potting freely and quite accurately Rawat was in complete control and with some clever steady play romped to victory. The Railway cueist Khan was unable to get going and could not put up much of fight.
Rawat won a close first frame but then rolled in a break of 35 to the win the second and also pocketed the third to race away to a 3-0 lead. Khan showed signs of fighting back when he took the fourth to cut the deficit, but he once again went into a shell as Rawat won the next three to wrap up the match and complete a satisfying 32-27, 41-28, 43-14, 5-37, 36-13, 53-16 and 47-36 victory.
For his brilliant performances and winning the title, Rawat was presented the ECC Champions Trophy and a cash prize of Rs 40,000, while Khan received the Runner-up trophy and cash award of Rs 25,000.
The losing semi-finalists Siddharth Parikh and Aditya Agrawal got Rs 12,500 each.
