Some of the countries top Men’s and Juinor players will be participating in the Otters Club Open Squash Tournament 2018 to be played at the Otters Club squash courts from 17th to 22nd August.
Mumbai’s Abhishek Pradhan, current India No. 7 will be the top seed in the Men’s category while Sachika Ingale, current India No.3 will lead the field for Women in the Men’s and Women’s tournament. The senior category will feature Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Professionals, Men’s over 35 & 45 categories while the Junior tournament will be played in the under 11 to 19 categories.
The event will be organised under the aegis of SRFI and Maharashtra Squash Rackets Association and co-sponsored by Rustomjee, Deutsche Bank, Aza, Audi and Heads.
A total of 502 players will be participating in the tournament. In the Men’s category, Abhishek Agarwal who is the current India No. 10 is second seed while Urwashi Joshi who is ranked 4th in India is the women’s second seed. In the U-19 Category, Tushar Shahani ranked No 1 in India will be the top seed followed by India No. 3 Rahul Baitha who is the second seed.
The tournament has a total prize money of 8.4 Lakhs. Varun Agarwal is the Organising Chairman for the tournament and Suman Shukla is the Championship Director
