Second seeded Kamlesh Ukali had to fight hard before he overcame unseeded Hriday Despande 11-5, 11-3, 13-15, 11-7 to make the semifinals in the sub-junior boys singles in the JSW- Thane Table Tennis ranking tournament, organized by Jindal Sports Academy at their sports training centre,at Vasind here today.

While top seed Sharman got the better of eight seeded Nachiket Mukherjee, but he had to fight all the way before he triumphed 11-9, 11-8, 11-8, but fourth seeded Aryan Kulkarni was stretched by unseeded Siddhant Deshpande before he was through with a 12-10, 12-10, 7-11, 11-4 win.
JINDAL BOYS BEST: Jindal Academy survived Boosters scar before they prevailed 3-2 in the juniors final. But Boosters took the men’s team honours with a 3-1 win over Boosters ‘A’, while Pinnacle TTA blanked hosts by three matches to one in the Cadet/midget final.
