Borivali Premier Football League
Kunal Patel struck a late goal which helped Myrmidons SC salvage a 1-1 draw with Ruthless SC in an interesting Group-A league match of the third Borivali Premier Football League (BPFL), conducted by the Borivali Sports Foundation, under the auspices of the MDFA and played at the St. Francis D’Assisi High School ground, Borivali (West).
Action during the match played between Milan Club and Kajupada FC in the 3rd Borivali Premier Football League (BPFL), conducted by the Borivali Sports Foundation.
Ruthless started off in a dominant fashion and took an early lead through seasoned midfielder Hekmat Singh in the very eighth minute of the match.
But, Myrmidons SC took that setback in their stride and fought on gamely. For all their hard work and determination, they managed to find success at the death when Kunal Patel found the back of the net in the final minute of play to force a a draw and division of two points with Ruthless. Kunal Patel of Myrmidons SC was later declared ‘Player of the Match’.
In a Group-B match, Shelar FC 2 proved too good as they blanked Vibrants FC 2-0. Strikers Ganesh Salkar and Bhavesh Vichare netted a goal each to secure Shelar FC’s victory. The ‘Player of the Match’ award went to Bhavesh Vichare of Shelar FC.
Later, in a one-sided group-B encounter, Milan Club outplayed Kajupada FC 9-0. Strikers Amey Jitendra, Sunny Thakur, Nachiket Palav and Ankit Dalvi all scored a brace of goals while Siddarth Nayak got one to complete the winning tally for the Milan side. Milan Club’s striker Sunny Thakur won the ‘Player of the Match’ prize.
