Footie First FC scored once in each half to pull off A CLOSE 2-1 win against Veera Engineering SC in a keenly contested Third Division match of the MDFA League 2018-19 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Wednesday.
Neel Pandya scored the opening goal for Footie First in the fourth minute before Vipul Lad netted the second in the first minute of the second half to double the lead. Veer Engineering pulled one back through Kris Parekh’s efforts in the 45th minute.
In another match, Anstrengung United blanked P.D. Hinduja Hospital SC 3-0. Strikers Divyansh Yadav, Robin Kujur and Nehal Salunkhe scored a goal each to complete United’s victory.
