Defending champions MCC (Red), after some indifferent show earlier in the league phase, came into their own as they outplayed Bhosale Cricket Academy by 120 runs in the knockout semifinals of the B4S (Brain-4-Sports)- MCC Pro-40 double leg League, played at Oval Maidan here today. They take on MCC (Blue), who thrashed debutant Rizvi Sports Club by nine wickets in the other semifinal.
MCC ( Red) opting to bat first after winning the toss, hit up 274 before they were all out in 38.4 0vers. Anurag Yadav top-scored with 71. Other notable contributions came from Mukesh Gupta (55), Prashant Yadav (37) and Sourav Bhambhorkar (35). In reply, Bhosale CA were dismissed for 154 in 29.4 overs. Abhishek Kanojia (3/18), Ishan Porwal (2/9), Jitendra Paliwal (2/26) shared the bowling honours.
In the other semifinal, MCC (Blue) after dismissing Rizvi Sports Club for 121, saw opener Veer Khimji ( n.o.56) and Yash Salunke (n.o.35), steering them home by nine wickets.
