Companeroes Sports Club, Bandra started on a winning note defeating Sacred Heart SC, Worli 2-0 in men’s open first round match of the 25th Bandra Gymkhana Open Rink Football Tournament and played under floodlights at the Demonte Park Recreational Ground, Bandra. Strikers Kiran Sadari and Pranit Kadam netted a goal each to seal the win for Companeroes.
In another match, PNT Boys, Vakola got the better of T-70 Sports Club by a narrow 2-1 margin. The Vakola outfit scored through Aaron Rodrigues and Jason D., while Raaquib Merchant struck the lone goal for the losing side.
