Yashasvi brings MCC(Red) back on track


 

Lanky Yashasvi Jaiswal, an exciting 16-year-old lefthander, hammered  122 ( 21×4, 4×6) as MCC (Red)  thrashed  Bhosale CA)  by nine wickets to  bring the defending champions back in contention in the B4S (Brain-4-Sports)- MCC Pro-40   double leg League, played at Oval Maidan here today.  Their  victory thus served as  a  sweet revenge  for their first leg loss.

After put into bat, BCA were bowled out for 152 and in reply, they found Yashasvi in irresistible form as he raced to century (122)  in 60 balls to see his side through.

 

In the other tie,  Jwala Sports Foundation XI, after their poor run in the first leg, came back strongly to spoil MCC (Blue)’s  dream run in the first leg, with a massive 224 runs victory..

 

 

Brief scores: Bhosale CA  152 all out (Siddhant Doshi 32, Aditya Tawade   27; Tapan Ansari 4/19, Faizal Hussian 3/14) lost to MCC (Red) 158/1 (Yashasvi Jaiswal 122 (21×4, 4×6), Jayesh Chandankar 27) by 9 wkts.
