Pratik, Hemal shower fours n sixes


 

Juhu  Heroes opener Pratik Patil  led the field  as fours and sixes  flowed, with hurricane 102 ( with nine fours and seven sixes) to help Juhu Heroes to massive 166 runs win over Santacruz Crackers in the 8-team  SAI-Mumbai Masters T-20 League, powered by- Paradigm Reality, at the Police Gymkhana’s floodlit ground here last night.

Opting to bat first, Juhu Heroes lost two wickets with 27  runs on the board, but then they got going with opener Pratik in the company of Hemal Shah went berserk  with flurry of fours and sixes as they added 163 runs to put their side to huge score of 266 for four in the allotted 17 overs (reduced by 3 overs dur to delayed start).  Chasing such a huge score,   the Santacruz Crackers cracked under pressure and were bundled out for 100.

 

In the other tie,  Borivali Warriors, too, continued the trend with sixes and fours and rattled up 246 for six with Shaheen Mistry 64 (8×4, 5×6) and Lavash Mehra 68 (8×4, 6×6)  topping the list, In reply, the Chembur Strikers too  tried to keep the momentum,but in the end  just ended with 155 for seven in the allotted 20 overs.

 

 Brief scores: Juhu Heroes 266/4 off 17  overs (shortened because of delayed start (Pratik Patil 102 (9×4, 7×6), Hemal Shah 77, Rohan Kogande 26) bt Santacruz Crackers  100 all out (Nikhil Pagdhare 24; Rohjidas Koyande 2/9, Yogesh Dalvi 3/11) by 166 runs.
