Striker Reuben Fernandes showed good scoring form and netted a fine hat-trick which was the highlight of J.M.J. Sports Club’s emphatic 6-0 win against Mumbai Municipal Corporation (MMC) SC in a Second Division match of the MDFA League 2017-2018 and played at the St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel.

The young dashing forward Reuben made his intention clear from the start by netting the first goal in the very fourth minute. Later he scored two more goals, in the 44th and 63rd minutes to complete his feat. The others who chipped by scoring a goal each were Elvin Fernandes (23rd min), Melvin Barboza (26th min) and Daniel Fernandes (50th min).
In another match, Sameer Niyazi also struck a hat-trick to steer Veera United FC to a 6-1 win against G.K.W. Rangers SC. Praneet patel struck a brace of goals and Saumitra Parkar got one to complete the tally of goals for the winners, while Sheldon Menezes netted the consolation goal for the losers.
