Goans Sports Association were all fired up and stormed to a convincing 6-1 victory against Vintage Dahisar SC in a First Division match of the MDFA League 2017-2018 and played at the St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel. The heroes of the Goan outfit’s win was strikers Kartik Naikar and Lionel Caldeira, both scoring two goals each, while Ronald Fernandes and John Johnson contributed with the other two goals to round off the winning margin. For Vintage Dahisar the lone consolation goal was scored by Neville Gama.
In another one-sided encounter, Bombay YMCA romped to a 5-1 win against Godrej & Boyce SC in a Second Division encounter. Bombay YMCA scored their goals Arshad Ansari, Rayyan Ansari, Kazim Sayyed, Abdul Shaikh and Mazhar Ansari, all striking one each, while consistent scorer Pizan Kodia netted the only goal for Godrej & Boyce.
