Mumbai Port Trust (MbPT) registered their maiden win defeating Maharashtra State Police 5-3 in a Super Division match of the MHAL League 2017-2018, at the MHAL-Mahindra Stadium, Churchgate on Tuesday evening.
The feature of Port Trusts win was a brace of goals scored by Raju Karan Singh converting from two penalty corners in the 33rd and 57th minutes, while the other three goals were scored by Satish Patil (54th min), Anuj Singh (60th min) and venkatesh Devkar (66th min). The policemen scored their goals through Satyajit Sawant (38th min), Ayub Pandri (58th min) and Ajit Nalavade (64th min).
Mumbai Port Trust full backs Raju Karan Singh, who scored two goals won the ‘Man of the Match’ award and received a cash award of Rs 1,000.
On Wednesday, Union Bank of India will clash with Bombay Republicans at 4.00pm.
