A fine hat-trick by Bhushan Gurav propelled Shubhamraje Junior College to a handsome 9-0 victory in the Senior Boys category of the Reliance Foundation Youth Football tournament here on Friday.
In a Junior Boys match, Fatima High School, Ambarnath also had an equally easy outing, beating St Mary’s High School 15-0.
Bhushan Gurav slammed his hat-trick against Lourdes Jr College in the first 20 minutes itself, finding the net in the 3rd, 8th and 18th minute. Lourdes then conceded two straight penalties to lose the plot completely.
Rupesh Rokade and Aditya Deshpande scored from the spot to put Shubhamraje in the driver’s seat.
Rushil Shirgaonkar (47th), Suyash Ghegade (52nd), Akash Shetty (54th) and Omkar Masurkar (59th) were the other scorers in the match that took place at the All Saints High School, Bhiwandi.
In the Junior Boys match, Noah Salve (4 goals), Aldrin Soans (3 goals) and Samyak Nikam & Chris Vergis with 2 goals apiece were the stars for Fatima High. Ashutosh Singh, Aditya Ahridhar, Zaid Mohammed and Manav Saini were the other scorers.
