Tribals form part of Amit Masurkar’s Hindi film ‘Newton’


Amit Masurkar’s Hindi film ‘Newton’ has been in the news , ever since the trailer of this film was released at the Berlin International film festival. Raj Kumar Rao plays the lead role of a Government employee in this film, who is all set to contest the election poll as an independent candidate in Chhattisgarh. The film is set on the backdrop of a forest in Chattisgarh surrponded by Peoples war group.Newton_Still_253

About 100 tribals belonging to that local place are part of the film’s artistes, to give a realistic look to this film. But, for that the director had to convince the locals that the film has nothing against the peoples war group. Actually, the film’s unit had done a survey of that place before and only then decided to shoot over there. Presented by Eros International and Anand L  Rai, this film produced by Colour yello Productions in association with Drushyam Productions is now all set to release on 22nd September 2017.
