Hosts PM Bath open their campaign with a resounding 18-3 win over Rest of Mumbai in the GMAAA five-team waterpolo League, hosted by P.M.Bath at their pool at Chowpatty here last night. Prathmesh Pathak (4), Mohnish Patel (3) and Sahil Mody (3) were the main scorers.
The Rest of Mumbai outfit comprising players from MGMO, Khar Gymkhana, ASP and Kandivali Swimming Pool Club looked like a bunch of disjointed side having no cohesion as the hosts were all over the place right from the world go.
Later, however, the Rest of Mumbai did put up better show, though they lost to Police Swimming Pool 5-6. They fought well in the first quarter, holding their rivals to 2-2. However, in the next two quarters they failed to add to their tally, while conceding three goals. The fourth and final quarter saw them going all out to add three goals. But then they also conceded the all-important goal towards the end to lose the tie 5-6.
