Host Otter Club’s swim sensation Armaan Sikka continued with his record-breaking gold medal spree as he added three more to the three he has won on the opening day of the 32nd Otters Open Swimming and Diving Championships, held at their swimming pool at Bandra (West) here today. Armaan thus ended with six golds, out of which four were with new timings in the boys under-13 section. On Sunday, Armaan set new marks in the 100 and 200m free style events. In all lthe neet sawe 13 meet records were established.
Matching Armaan’s efforts was his clubmate Kenisha Gupta, who too ended with six golds, but she could add just one to her yesterday’s two record-breaking feats in the girls under-15. Kenisha bettered the 2012 record of 02:10.66 secs by clocking 02:09.83 secs.
There were three more notable performers (but do not figure among record-breakers). They were : Neel Roy, from Khar Gymkhana, who won six golds in the men ‘s section, Vinit Mane of Goregaon Sports Club, who dominated the boys under-15 age group winning all the six events that he took part and Ronak Sawant (GAF), who bagged five golds in the boys under-11 age group.
