Krisha Sanghavi upset fancied Ria Talsania in a thrilling five-game encounter to storm into the cadet girls singles semi finals of the All India Balkan-Ji-Bari –JLTTA promotional table tennis tournament, sponsored by Black Panther-Precise, at their centre at Juhu Road, Santacruz (West) here today. Krisha matching Ria stroke for stroke led 2-0 before Ria hit back to win the next two to take the tie to wire. However, Krisha, showing better control led all the way to clinch the tie 11-9, 11-9, 4-11,9-11, 11-6.
In another quarterfinal tie, Swara Sarfare, was stretched by Pahel Shah before she triumphed 11-9, 9-11, 11-5, 11-3. Swara next takes on Krisha in the semifinal. The other semifinal will be contested by Shaivi Balwatkar and second seeded bespectacled Risha Mirchandani.
